Adventurers name:
Andrew Robbins

Bike: KTM530EXCR

Role on ride: Navigation, Logistics, Bike Mechanic

Preferred name: Robbo

Profile: Keen Adventurer, navigator, handy bush mechanic, second best boilermaker on the trip

Robbo has the easiest role on the trip, navigation.  He says that from Perth we turn right at Paynes find, then turn right at Wiluna, kind of veer right towards Uluru, head for Finke, head south to Dalhousie, break left and cross a few dunes, a cold beverage at Birdsville and then just head to Noosa!  How hard can it be? After all its only 5,500ks!

Robbo is the General Manager of OEM Parts network supplying gas turbine parts to clients worldwide.  From a mechanical trade background he is our mr fixit on this adventure.  He lives near Noosa on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland with his wife Donna and two kids Ellen and Lachie.  Robbo also loves sports including surfing, snowboarding and believes he is a good golfer that just has bad days. He is a rich man in a poor mans body and one of the happiest blokes you would ever meet.

Reason for becoming an Adventurer:

It’s in my DNA.  Been on bikes since 7 years of age, love the challenge, the unknown and the chance to be part of this great cause.  Almost every family in Australia is affected by cancer at least once in their lifetime, either directly or indirectly.  Any awareness and funds we can generate is a small step in the right direction.
