Scott Norris and Troy Morrison are riding the KTM 690 Enduro R 2011, we chose these bikes after extensive research into the best bike for the journey and based on a lot of feedback from web forums such as ADV rider the 690's where the pick. We were very close to riding 530 EXC but the service intervals swayed us toward the big thumper.
Robbo already had his 530 so after a quick service and spruce up she will be delivered to Perth from Noosa to begin the journey
Statt is riding the 02 400 EXC, she had been stuck in the shed for a few years in Tassie and has just had some expensive TLC so it will be interesting to see how it performs on the journey
Shamo has had the Tenere for a couple of years in Melbourne and it should do well, just so long as he doesn't have to pick it up too many times in the sand
