Troy Morrison – Managing Director
Troy joined Scope Systems Pty Ltd as Managing Director. His main role is managing the day to day operations of our business and he brings over 20 years experience in leadership, machinery design, construction & operations.
Previously Troy was Country Manager for TransAlta Energy (Australia) Pty Ltd and was responsible for TransAlta's Australian business including electricity generation facilities in Western Australia, along with commercial, supplier, customer and stakeholder relationships across the country. Prior to this role, he was a Director of Plant Operations and Engineering responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the five facilities owned in Australia by TransAlta. Troy joined TransAlta in January of 1996 as part of the operations team at the Parkeston Power Station based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Since that time, he has held a number of leadership roles within the Australian business. Prior to joining TransAlta, Troy had an international career working in Europe and North America as part of the technical development team for Swiss based engineering firm Ziwez Ag
Norman Pater – Non-Executive Director
Norman founded Costings & Logistics Systems Pty Ltd (now Scope Systems Pty Ltd) in 1994 with a goal of supplying and supporting quality commercial software for the mining and contracting industry. He researched both locally and overseas to find available software for his specific requirement and eventually signed a reseller agreement with Prometheus (now PRONTO). Within 7 years over 93 different corporate implementations had been executed across Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and Africa.
Prior to starting the company, Norman was a founding Director and shareholder of Ohio Group Ltd, a dominant supplier of logistics and accounting systems in South Africa. After moving to Australia he joined Classic Software and implemented legacy commercial systems for the mining & contracting industry, successfully computerising 20 companies over a period of two years, including all of Normandy’s operational mines (now a wholly owned subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation). Norman has a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA with majors in Business Data Processing, Cost Accounting and Business Economics, along with a wealth of experience in implementing commercial systems. He is now Non- Executive Director of Scope Systems Pty Ltd.
